ĐBP - On the afternoon of April 16, the Điện Biên provincial Police held a formal ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of five specialized forces: the Staff, Internal Security, Criminal Police, and Administrative Management of Social Order (April 18, 1946-2026), alongside the People’s Public Security Finance force (April 17, 1946-2026).
The event was attended by Lê Văn Lương, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; Major General Vũ Văn Đấu, Director of the provincial Police; as well as former leaders of the provincial police and representatives from various provincial departments.

During the ceremony, delegates reflected on the 80-year journey of construction, combat, and growth of these forces. Throughout historical stages and under the comprehensive leadership of the provincial Police Party Committee and Board of Directors, these units have overcome immense hardships and displayed a high sense of responsibility to complete their assigned tasks excellently.

Numerous examples of bravery and outstanding achievements by both collectives and individuals have been recognized and rewarded at various levels. These forces have collaborated effectively with other units to maintain security and order, creating a favorable environment for local socio-economic development and building a clean, strong, and modern police force in Điện Biên.

In his address, Major General Vũ Văn Đấu urged the forces to continue enhancing their advisory efficiency, proactively monitoring situations, and preventing hostile activities. He emphasized a renewed focus on suppressing crime, particularly high-tech offenses, to ensure local security.

On this occasion, authorized by the President and the Prime Minister, Lê Văn Lương awarded the Second-class Victory Order to the Criminal Police Division and presented Prime Minister’s Certificates of Merit to seven individuals.

Additionally, the Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee presented Certificates of Merit to five collectives and five individuals, while the Director of the provincial Police commended five collectives and 42 individuals for their exceptional service.
